The sweetest season

Our little adventure

Our journey didn’t begin with two pink lines—it began over a bottle of wine and a conversation about what becoming a family might look like. There were dreams, endless appointments, countless needles, unexpected detours, and more hope than we knew our hearts could hold. Somehow, every twist and turn brought us exactly where we were meant to be… counting down the days until we meet our little girl.

We’re gathering our favorite people for an afternoon of great food, warm cider, pumpkin beer (yes, it’s a thing!), plenty of laughter, and a little celebrating before our little girl arrives. We’d love nothing more than to share this special season with you—and there’s nothing like a New England autumn!

Good to know

A few little details

01What should I wear?+

While we can’t predict the weather, it will be starting to cool off by mid-October. Flannel, light sweaters, jeans, you name it. No dress code, just come as your fabulous self!

02Can I bring a plus-one or little ones?+

Absolutely! This will be a day for the whole family—just let us know in your RSVP who’s coming so we can be prepared.

03Where should I park?+

If you are driving, there is ample street parking. If you’re Ubering, they’ll drop you off in the right place.

04When should I RSVP?+

Please reply by September 18 so we can save you a seat, plan the menu, and make the day extra special.

05Where should I stay?+

We’ve listed a few options here to give you an idea of the area; we’d recommend anywhere within a 30-min drive of our home unless you want to explore the City (Boston, of course!). If you’re traveling as a group of 6+, an Airbnb would be a good option as well. If you have doubts about the area, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Megan to see if we can help you narrow down your options.

06How long will the party last?+

At least a few hours; we haven’t seen many of you in quite some time, so you’re welcome to stay as late as you like (as long as Sofia’s still got the energy!).

07Why “Bloob”?+

Ha! One of Meg’s favorite movies is Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory (the original Gene Wilder version), and there is a scene where Violet starts turning violet—into a blueberry! And the father yells, “I’ve got a blueberry for a daughter…” …and thus, Bloob. Because we’ve got a blueberry for a daughter :)
